Daily Market Update (Equities)
The Nigerian Equities Market closed the day negative as its benchmark index fell by 0.80% to settle at 66,760.20 points in today’s trading session. Consequently, the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns fell to 30.26% (Yesterday: 31.31% YtD). The losses in MTNN, DANGSUGAR, ZENITH, ACCESSCORP, and NESTLE offset the gains in OKOMU, OANDO, WEMA, STERLING and VITAFOAM.
The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 645.54mn units and NGN11.01bn. ACCESSCORP traded the highest in terms of Volume while DANGSUGAR traded the highest in terms of Value.
The top gainers in today’s trading session were CWG, OANDO and NEIMETH while the top losers were ETRANSACT, NASCON, DANGSUGAR.

At the Nigerian Treasury bills market today, the average yield increased by 0.05% to settle at 7.97% while at the FGN Bond market, average yield rose by 0.16% to close at 14.32%.
