Today, Nigerian Equities market closed with a negative performance as its benchmark index fell by 0.44% to 71,049.29 points. As a result, its year-to-date (YtD) returns declined to 38.61% (vs. yesterday’s YtD: 39.22%). The losses recorded in , OMATEK, IKEJAHOTEL, and NEIMETH offset the gains incurred in NSLTECH, ROYALEX and NNFM.
The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 534.62mn units and NGN5.62bn. ACCESSCORP traded the highest in terms of both Value and Volume.
Today, FBNH, UBA, and UNILEVER topped the gainers’ chart, while DANGCEM, STANBIC IBTC and GTCO. topped the losers’ chart.
Fixed Income Market Update
Today, the NT-bills secondary market closed bullish as average yield declined by 29bps to settle at 10.22%. This followed significant buying interest across all tenors. Similarly, the FGN Bond market closed the day on a bullish note as average yield declined by 14bps to settle at 15.87%. This was on the back of significant buying interest along the short end of the curve . Overall, the Naira Fixed Income market closed positive as average yield declined by 21bps to settle at 12.98%.
