Daily Market Update (Equities)

The Nigerian Equities market continued its negative run for the third consecutive time this week as its benchmark index fell by 0.65% to 65,056.39 points. Consequently, its Year-to-Date return printed at 26.94% (Yesterday: 27.77%). Gains in NASCON, TRANSCORP and Union Bank were significantly countered by losses in MTNN, FBNH and Nigerian Breweries.

Today, JAPAULGOLD traded the highest in terms of Volume while ACCESSCORP traded the highest in terms of Value. Total Volume and Value traded for today settle at NGN 459.77mn and NGN5.35bn respectively.

Today, GUINNESS, CHAMS and JOHNHOLT recorded the highest gains while COURTVILLE, ABBYBDS and OMATEK recorded the most losses in today’s trading session.
