The Nigerian Equities market closed negative for the second consecutive time this week, as its benchmark index declined by 0.31% to settle at 65,482.91 points. As a result, its Year-to-Date return dropped to 27.77% from 28.17% yesterday. The market movers for today include Ecobank, Access, TotalEnergies, Skyway and Jaiz.
Today, JAPAULGOLD recorded the highest amount of trade in terms of Volume at NGN115.7mn while ACCESSCORP recorded the highest amount of trade in terms of Value at NGN0.28bn.
The top gainers for today were LASACO, MULTIVERSE and RTBRISCOE while JAPAULGOLD, CADBURY and FTNCOCOA topped the losers’ chart.
Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)
Today, average yield in the Nigerian Treasury bills secondary market closed at 7.12% after being constant at 4.31% three consecutive times. However, the FGN bond market closed negatively as the average yield in the market rose by 0.15% to 13.04%.
