Daily Market Update (Equities)

The Nigerian Equities market sustained its upward trajectory, as its benchmark index went up by 0.69% to settle at 65,988.81 points. As a result, its Year-to-Date return went up to 28.76%. The market movers for today include MTN, SEPLAT and GEREGU.

Today, JAPAULGOLD recorded the highest amount of trade in terms of Volume at 72.49mn and GTCO recorded the highest amount of trade in terms of Value at 01.7bn, just slightly surpassing PRESCO which had 01.61bn.

 

 

The top gainers for today were IKEJAHOTEL, FTNCOCOA, and SEPLAT while CONOIL, JOHNHOLT, and MULTIVERSE topped the losers’ chart.

Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)

Today, average yield in the Nigerian Treasury bills secondary market remained at 4.31%. However,the FGN bond market closed negatively as the average yield in the market rose by 0.03% to 12.70%.
