Daily Market Update (Equities)

The Nigerian Equities market closed negative today, as its benchmark index, the NGX All Share Index (ASI) went down by 0.09% to 71,004.95 points. This decline can be attributed to losses in MTNN, FBN Holdings and DangSugar offsetting gains in GTCO, Zenith Bank and Unilever Nigeria Plc. Notably, the market’s year-to-date (YtD) returns fell to 38.54% from 38.66% yesterday.

Today, GTCO traded the most by Volume while MTNN traded the most based on Value.

The top losers for today were CILEASING, PRESTIGE and INTBREW while DAARCOMM, MULTIVERSE and NSLTECH topped the gainers’ chart.

Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)

Today, the NT-bills secondary market closed flat as average yield stayed constant at 12.67%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market ended the day unchanged as average yield remained constant at 15.82%.
