Daily Market Update (Equities)

The Nigerian Equities market closed positive as its benchmark index gained 0.19% to settle at 71,014.34 points. This is on the back of gains recorded in BUACEMENT, GTCO and ONADO offsetting losses incurred in Zenith, Fidelity and UBA. Consequently, the market’s year-to-date returns (YtD) moved up to 38.56% from 38.29% yesterday.

OANDO was the most traded stock by Volume in the market today, while NESTLE traded the highest in terms of Value.

OANDO, CILEASING and MEYER were the top gainers for today while SCOA, SOVERNINS and CORNERST topped the losers’ chart.

 

Today, the NT-bills secondary market closed flat at 13.34%. On the flipside, the FGN Bond market closed on a negative note as average yield advanced by 0.01% to 15.75%.
