Daily Market Update (Equities)

The Nigerian Equities market continued its positive streak as its benchmark index rose by 0.05% to 67,133.19 points. Notably, its year-to-date (YtD) returns climbed to 30.99% (vs. Yesterday’s YtD: 30.93%). The gains recorded in ZENITHBANK, UBA and UNILEVER offset the losses incurred in GTCO, Transnational Corp and UNITEDCAP.

The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 309.32mn units and NGN4.55bn. FIDELITYBANK traded the highest in terms of Volume, while ACCESSCORP for the third (3rd) consecutive time this week traded the highest in terms of Value.

The top gainers were COURTVILLE, DEAPCAP and AFRIPRUD. While the top losers were CORNERST, MANSARD and REGALINS.

Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)

The NT-bills secondary market closed on a positive note today as average yield declined by 1.38% to settle at 6.20%. However, the FGN Bond market closed negative as average yield increased by 0.03% to settle at 14.42%.
