Daily Market Update (Equities)
The Nigerian Equities market bounced back from its loss yesterday to close positive as its benchmark index increased by 0.17% to 67,100.49 points. Consequently, its year-to-date (YtD) returns increased to 30.93% (vs. Yesterday’s YtD: 30.70%). The gains recorded in BUACEMENT, Transnational Corp and UBN offset the losses incurred in GTCO, OANDO and ZENITHBANK.
The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 410.32mn units and NGN4.46bn. NEIMETH traded the highest in terms of Volume while, ACCESSCORP for the consecutive time traded the highest in terms of Value.
DAARCOMM, CORNERST and TRANSCORP topped the gainers’ chart, while OMATEK, OANDO and AFRIPRUD topped the losers’ chart.
Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)
The NT-bills secondary market closed positive today as average yield fell by 0.01% to settle at 7.58%. However, the FGN Bond market closed negative as average yield rose by 0.01% to settle at 14.39%.
