Daily Market Update (Equities)

The Nigerian Equities market closed negative as its benchmark index declined by 0.17% to 66,984.62 points. Consequently, its year-to-date (YtD) returns increased to 30.70% (vs. Friday’s: 30.93% YtD). The losses recorded in PRESCO, ECOBANK and GTCO offset the gains incurred in OANDO, Capital Hotel and Fidson Healthcare.

The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 257.42mn units and NGN7.80bn. FIDELITYBK traded the highest in terms of Volume while, ACCESSCORP traded the highest in terms of Value.

CHAMS, ABCTRANS, and OANDO led the gainers’ chart, while JOHNHOLT, PRESCO, and DAARCOMM led the losers’ chart.

Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)

The NT-bills secondary market closed today on a positive note as average yield dipped by 0.12% to settle at 7.59%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market closed positive as average yield fell by 0.04% to settle at 14.39%.
