Daily Market Update (Equities)
The Nigerian Equities market closed positive as its benchmark index surged by 0.97% to 67,101.33 points. Consequently, its year-to-date (YtD) returns increased to 30.93% (vs. Friday’s: 29.66% YtD). The gains recorded in BUACEMENT, NB and DANGSUGAR offset the losses incurred in International Breweries, GTCO and E-Tranzact International.
The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 268.66mn units and NGN3.46bn. ABCTRANS traded the highest in terms of Volume while, ACCESSCORP traded the highest in terms of Value.
Today, the top gainers were BUACEMENT, CHIPLC and NB while the top losers were PRESTIGE, FTCOCOA and NEIMETH were the top gainers.
Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)
The NT-bills secondary market closed today on a positive note as average yield declined by 0.29% to settle at 7.71%. However, the FGN Bond market closed negative as average yield rose by 0.01% to settle at 14.42%.
