Daily Market Update (Equities)

The Nigerian Equities market lost 0.76% as its benchmark index settled at 70,042.28 points. Consequently, the year-to-date returns printed at 36.67% (vs. Yesterday: 37.72% YtD). The gains in LAFARGE, FIBELITY and NEM were not able to counter the losses incurred on NTNN, BUACEM and FBNH.

Today, JAPAULGOLD traded the highest in terms of Volume while MTNN had the highest Value traded.

OMATEK, ACADEMY and PRESTIGE were the top gainers for today while CHAMS, INTBREW and RTBRISCOE topped the losers’ chart.

Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)

Today, the NT-bills secondary market closed flat at 11.13%. However, the FGN Bond market closed negative as average yield went up by 0.05% to 15.42%. Overall, the Naira Fixed Income market closed on a negative note as average yield climbed up by 0.02% to 13.27%.
