Today, the Nigerian Equities market closed positive, reversing its earlier streak. The All-Share Index (ASI) gained 0.03% to settle at 98,255.72 points. Consequently, the market year-to-date (YtD) returns rose to 31.40% compared to 31.36% YtD yesterday. The was driven by gains in GTCO, TRANSCORP, and ZENITH offsetting the losses in DANGSUGAR, AIRTEL and PZ.
Market activity was positive today with the total volume traded rising by 111.99% to 676.42mn units and value traded rising by 81.56% to NGN16.66bn. Today, NB traded the highest in terms of volume and value.
Today, LEARNAFRCA, MBENEFIT and GTCO topped the gainers chart, while PZ, SOVRENINS and HONYFLOUR topped the loser’s chart.

Today, the NT-bills secondary market closed on a positive note with a slight decline in the average yield by 0.01% to 22.45%, driven by buying interest across all tenors. Conversely, the FGN bond market closed negative with a 0.03% rose in average yield to 18.61%. Overall, the Naira fixed income market closed negative with the average yield up by 0.01% to settle at 20.53%.
