Daily Market Update (Equities)
The Nigerian Equities market closed the week on a negative note as its benchmark index fell by 0.17% to 66,454.57 points. As a result, its year-to-date (YtD) returns dropped to 29.66% (vs. Yesterday: 29.89% YtD). The losses incurred in Dangote Cement PLC, Oando and Nigeria Breweries PLC offset the gains recorded in Airtel Africa PLC, Stanbic IBTC and UBA.
The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 374.09mn units and NGN8.93bn. FIDELITYBK traded the highest in terms of Volume while BUACEMENT traded the highest in terms of Value.
Today, OANDO, SCOA and NEM topped the losers’ chart while OMATEK, AIRTELAFRI and CAVERTON were the top gainers.
