Daily Market Update (Equities)
The Nigerian Equities Market closed the day negative as its benchmark index fell by 0.06% to settle at 67,335.3 points in today’s trading session. Consequently, the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns rose to 31.41% (Yesterday: 31.47% YtD). The losses in GTCO, ZENITH, NESTLE, TRANSCORP, and FBNH offset the gains in UBA, STANBIC, LAFARGE, ACCESSCORP and OANDO.
The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 788.54mn units and NGN14.17bn. CHIPLC traded the highest in terms of Volume while NB traded the highest in terms of Value.
The top gainers in today’s trading session were LEARNAFRCA, ACADEMY and CHIPLC while the top losers were E-TRANSACT, IKEJAHOTEL, ABCTRANS.
Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)
At the Nigerian Treasury bills market today, the average yield remained unchanged at 7.98% while at the FGN Bond market, average yield rose by 0.06% to close at 14.35%.
