Tolu was relocating to the UK and decided to sell her new car to any of her colleagues.
When she made the announcement on the team’s WhatsApp group, everyone was shocked because Tolu’s car was new, and not just new, it was a Range Rover! How dare she sell a Range Rover at such a giveaway price? That Range for that amount? Na jazz?
Well, Tolu explained that it was her way of saying thank you to the team for making her time at the company memorable. Everything she achieved, including her productivity and the awards she received, was because the team had her back. So, she wouldn’t mind selling the car to any interested colleague.
Now to the main gist.
Bisi and Kunle indicated interest. About Kunle, everyone knew he could afford it and more. After all, he was a Lagos big boy who rolled with influencers and was tight with top executives. But Bisi? Lol. Who dash monkey banana?
Tolu, knowing better, approached Kunle privately and they agreed on a payment date.
Five days later, Kunle was yet to raise the money, and Tolu was leaving in two days. Frustrated, she called Bisi, half-jokingly, to ask if she was still interested.
She almost dropped her phone when Bisi transferred the full amount instantly. What? So Bisi was a low-key millionaire all along, and they all underrated her? Waawu!
Which begs the question, are you a Bisi or a Kunle? Are you rich, or do you only look rich?
The goal isn’t to look rich, but to be rich, and one of the signs of true financial health is being able to rise to the occasion when it matters. The year is almost done, but you can still take charge of your finances by building passive income through stock trading.
