Daily Market Update (Equities)
The Nigerian Equities market closed the day on a negative note as the NGX All Share Index (ASI) fell by 0.34% to 73,768.64 points. Consequently, the market’s year-to-date (YtD) returns settled at 43.94% from 44.43% on Friday.
Total Volume increased by 2.27% to 432.91mn units, while Total Value fell by 21.99% to NGN12.94bn. Today, JAIZBANK traded the highest in terms of Volume while GEREGU traded the highest in term Value.
The top losers for today include UACN, DEAPCAP and CAVERTON while ETERNA, MANSARD and MULTIVERSE topped the gainers’ chart.
Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)
Today, the NT-bills secondary market closed positive as the average yield dipped by 0.22% to settle at 7.90%. Similarly, the FGN bond market closed stronger as the average yield fell by 0.12% to 14.24%. Overall, the Naira Fixed Income market gained as the average yield was declined by 0.17% to 11.07%.
