Daily Market Update (Equities)

The Nigerian Equities Market closed the day negative as its benchmark index fell by 0.03% to settle at 68,335.72 points in today’s trading session. Consequently, the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns dipped to 33.34% (Yesterday: 33.38% YtD). The losses in Transcorp, IKEJAHOTEL, and Secure Electronics offset the gains in Sunu Assurance, Berger Paints Nigeria, and OANDO

The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 566.63mn units and NGN5.38bn. OANDO traded the highest in terms of Volume while OANDO traded the highest in terms of Value.

The top gainers in today’s trading session were SUNUASSUR, BERGER and OANDO… while the top losers were TRANSCOHOT, IKEJAHOTEL, CHIPLC.

Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)

At the Nigerian Treasury bills market today, the average yield remained unchanged at 7.87% while at the FGN Bond market, average yield declined by 0.01% to close at 14.42%.
