Daily Market Update (Equities)
Today, the Nigerian Equities market performance improved as its benchmark index rose by 0.43% to 67,326.12 points. Notably, its year-to-date (YtD) returns rose to 31.37% (vs. Yesterday’s YtD: 30.80%). The gains recorded in STANBIC IBTC, DANGSUGAR and ACCESSCORP offset the losses incurred in NB, E-TRANZACT and TRANSCORP.
The Total Volume and Value traded for today are 377.97mn units and NGN5.17bn. E-TRANZACT traded the highest in terms of Volume, while ACCESSCORP traded the highest in terms of Value.
The top gainers were JBERGER, CWG and CHAMPION. While the top losers were MULTIVERSE, UNITYBK and ELLAHLAKES.
Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)
The NT-bills secondary market performance declined as average yield increased by 0.01% to settle at 6.53%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market closed lower as average yield increased by 0.01% to settle at 14.47%.
