Daily Market Update (Equities)

The Nigerian Equities market sustained its positive opening to the week as the benchmark index gained 3.97% to settle at 88,001.48 points. This was fueled by gains in DANGCEM, BUACEM, MTNN, DANGSUGAR and UBA, which offset losses in OANDO, UNICAP, UAC, CAP and AXAMANSARD.

The total Volume and Value traded increased by 32.11% and 42.94% each to reach 1.07bn` units and NGN15.77bn respectively. JAIZBANK led the charts in terms of total Volume traded while NASCON kept its place as the most traded stock in terms of Value.

Today, BERGER, DANGSUGAR and HONYFLOUR recorded the most gains while ROYALEX, MULTIVERSE and ELLAHLAKES sat at the top of the losers’ chart.

Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)

Today, Naira Fixed Income market closed on a silent note, as average yield remained at 8.28%. This is following similar quietness at the secondary NT-bills and FGN Bond markets where average yields remained at 3.28% and 13.27% respectively.
