Daily Market Update (Equities)

Today, the Nigerian Equities market sustained its bearish run, as the All-Share Index (ASI) dipped by 0.13% to close at 97,343.42 points. As a result, the market’s year-to-date (YtD) returns fell to 30.18% from 30.36% YtD yesterday.

However, market activity was positive today, with the total volume and value traded rising significantly by 15.97% and 22.87% each to 355.55mn units and NGN7.14bn respectively. GTCO traded the highest in terms of both volume and value traded.

Today, CUSTODIAN, INTENEGINS and NPFMCRFBK topped the gainers chart, while FTNCOCOA, STERLINGNG and UACN topped the loser’s chart.

Daily Market Update (Fixed Income)

Today, the NT-bill secondary market concluded positively as the average yield decreased by 0.02% to 22.41%. Conversely, the FGN bond market remained unchanged, closing flat at 18.64%. Overall, the Naira Fixed Income market experienced a positive outcome as the average yield decreased by 0.01% to settle at 20.51%.
